We spend a morning creating this delicious apple cinnamon oatmeal bowl using the delicious Apple Caramel Seasalt jam by Twisted Jams. Curious how to make it? 1 tablespoon of Twisted Jams (Apple Caramel Seasalt)
1 medium apple, cored and cut into small pieces
1 apricot, cut into small pieces
2 tablespoons + 1,5 cups of water
1 teaspoon coconut sugar
1 pitted date, finely chopped
0,25 teaspoon of cinnamon
0,5 cup of gluten-free oats
0,25 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of toasted chopped walnuts
How to make this apple cinnamon oatmeal bowl:
1. Combine the diced apricot, 2 tablespoons of water, coconut sugar, chopped date and a hint of cinnamon in a small pan. Bring the mixture up to a simmer, lower the heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
2. Add the oats, remaining 1,5 cups of water and the salt. Simmer over low heat over 10 minutes while stirring often. Add more water or a little almond milk if you prefer a looser texture.
3. Put the oats and apricot mixture in a bowl and add a tablespoon of Twisted Jams. Top with toasted chopped walnuts, chopped apple (optional: bake the apple shortly for a nice crunch) and a pinch of cinnamon.
