Illustrator Anila Mistry draws inspiration from the female body. Her work is characterized by minimal, intimate and artistic line drawings that are never the same. As a result, Anila works purely on instinct and embraces imperfection. She believes that there is growth in flaws and, consequently, line drawings enable this way of working.
the female body
Anila Mistry sees her drawings of the female body as a tribute to what it means to be a woman. For example: a statue, a photo or a memory can all inspire her mood. Finally, she then closes her eyes and lets her drawings grow organically.
